Student Artists
The talented students of the St. John's IB Art class have prepared for an entire year to present their beautiful works of art. Their projects vary from paintings to digital art, and each and every one expresses the utmost creativity. The Visual Arts program is a two-year course that focuses on teaching students the delicate intricacies of many different types of arts, from abstractionism to realism. The exhibit is worth 40% of the student's final grade.

This year has a been a particularly challenging year for the IB Art class. With the sudden passing of the beloved Ms. Reffell halfway through the year, the students finished their work with the help of the new art teacher, Mr. Skvaril. The hard work of the students paid off. Their beautiful pieces of art were displayed at the Tumon Sands Plaza.

Student Reflection
In my IB Art exhibits, I took inspiration from a variety of sources. A few of those sources include Warhammer 40k, a famous video game, and my dog. IB Art was a great experience for me this year, and I recommend that people also take this class. It is very rewarding to see your labor pay off in your artwork. You also learn a variety of artistic skills that you can apply to a wide range of subjects. - Bill Xie |
