Course Description
Acrylic Painting
Teacher: Dr. Yumiko Furukawa
Grades: 4th to 8th
Through this program, participants are going to complete 3-5 acrylic paintings. Participants will try to paint still life, self-portrait, animal painting (your pet), family painting, abstract painting, etc. Acrylics can be a bit tricky to work with, but Dr. Fu will assist students with expert advice and a well-equipped art studio.
Grades: 4th to 8th

PRIVATE VIOLIN OR VIOLA LESSON
Teacher: Molly Olah
Grades: K - 12 (age 5 and up)
Days: M - TH 3:30 - 5:00; one hour or one half hour PER week
Learn to play the violin or viola in preparation for middle/upper school orchestra. Proper posture, technique, music reading and enjoyment are emphasized. Prerequisite: a properly sized instrument including a bow, shoulder rest, case and a music stand for use at home.

Days: T/W 3:30pm - 5:00pm
Robert Alvarez is from the island of Guam. He is an esteemed musician who has played multiple venues on the island such as Roy's, Hotel Nikko, and The Pacific Islands Club. He attended U.C. Davis with a double major in Chemistry and Music. He started his own production company Boonie Dogs productions and has even written music commercially.
