Please do not send your child to school if he/she has any of the following:
- Fever over 100 F or higher
- Vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours
- Continuous coughing not relieved by cough medicine
- Earache
- Rash of unknown origin
- Strep throat
Your child may return to school if:
- Fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducer medications
- Free of vomiting and diarrhea for 24 hours
- There is a signed note from a healthcare professional indicating that the student can go back to class should be presented to the office.
Remind the students to:
- Wash hands often with soap and water.
- Cover coughs or sneezes with a tissue or a bent elbow. Used tissues should be disposed immediately in the trash can.
- Do not share drinks, food, or utensils.
- Rest and hydrate often.
- Avoid people who are sick, and to stay at home when feeling sick.
- Local clinics are now calling about the availability of the flu vaccines. Get your flu vaccines now!
